The gathering of family and friends over holidays, for special events and celebrations, or for card & game nights, calls for finger food type snacks. The quickest and most popular of these type of snacks are what we all like to refer to as "chips & dip. Many years ago our grocery store carried. Why, why can"t Ravensburger produce a 32,000 or 40,000 piece puzzle with a single image? Here we get yet another puzzle that"s simply a number of 4000-piece images badly stitched together with fuzzy borders meant to hide any potential color or alignment mismatches between the sections. This method was fine with the Keith Haring puzzle, because the image itself is a piece of pop art made with 32 individual cartoons separated by pure white borders. So no compromise to the overall image was made to make the puzzle. The NYC window view was horrible though - with the cheesy fake window frame overlaid only to conceal the seams of the 8 individual puzzle sections. But, disregarding the subject, this Disney puzzle is horrible to the extreme. I mean, Ravensburger couldn"t even have the film strips on the outside border pass from one section to the next to better tie the whole thing together visually? They had to have them run out of frame on each side of the adjoining sections? Cheap. Lazy. What ever happened to renowned German precision? How come Educa can successfully produce a 33,600-piece puzzle of a single image without section alignment/color issues and Ravensburger can"t.
